Prevent the Gore Road widening
An effort to prevent the widening of Gore Road, which will encroach on the Humber Valley.
Background
Local residents sought the involvement Sierra Club Peel because they were concerned of the effects that a wider Gore Road would have on natural areas and their quality of life.
Goals
Eliminate any encroachment on the Humber Valley and protect the sensitive natural areas adjacent to the Humber Valley.
Progress
As of 2008-06-11 — Our group has worked with local residents to bring their concerns to the Region of Peel and City of Brampton. We continue to work with Peel Region and Brampton. This is expected to be a long-term campaign, but encroachment on the Humber Valley is unacceptable.
