The Credit River Valley at Streetsville is the most impaired section of the river's sixty miles. Heavy industries, City dumping yards and parking lots occupy what was once a pristine natural area for people to enjoy.

City and Provincial surveys clearly show that the public wants and needs conservation lands for public enjoyment in a highly developed Mississauga. Mississauga only has about seven percent of its natural areas left, the lowest in the GTA.
