A Treemendous Success

Apr 23rd – This Earth Week's tree planting project was the most successful ever. Close to one hundred people made short work of 600 trees in less than two hours. It was totally a family event which had children as young as four and older children well into their upper eighties. Neither chilly weather nor gusty winds could dampen the spirits of this enthusiastic crowd.

We were honoured to have among the planters: MP Bonnie Crombie, Bob Delaney, Councilor Carlson, the donor of coffee and eats and David Culham, in whose honour the Culham Trail is named.

All in all, it was a most productive and enjoyable day. Thank you to all who attended and were part of the solution!
